Hi Nicholas!
I just got the thesis theme and have been ‘trying’ to create a landing page. I want to have a video and an opt in box with some words telling them what I will give them when they sign up.

I have looked at a few thesis tutorials and written my first few bits of code. Is there a resource you can recommend to help me learn this? Or is there another program I can add on to Thesis that still lets me have a lot of control?

Out of the box thesis doesn’t allow you to do this, but there is a stellar skin by Greg Rickaby called Times which builds on the Thesis options and allows you to do just that.

Hi Nick,

I’m thinking of doing up a magazine style website. Will we able to customize the Thesis theme in such a way that it doesn’t display a list of the individual blog post on the home page, but calls out certain featured articles from each categories and display them on the home page?

a) Replace the Thesis Pictures with my own?
b) Add Social Bookmarks?
c) Add Videos?
d) Add Banner Ads?
e) Insert Sitemap and Disclaimer?

Keith,

In the case you described you would have to have a client option for each site.

Once you buy the developer verison you can buy client options in 3 packages:

$40 – 1 License
$180 – 5 Licenses
$320 – 10 Licenses

Alternatively they could buy a individual license.

Hi Nicholas
Thesis looks great to me but I have a question…
If you buy the “developer option”, it says that you can use it on….. “Unlimited use of Thesis on sites that you own”.

Sites that you own are defined as….. “Sites that you own” are any sites where you are listed as the person (or business) who registered the domain.

When I set up sites for clients, I buy the domains and they are registered with me.

If I buy a “developer option” does that mean that I can use Thesis on all my clients sites or do I have to buy a license for each client?
