Promoting yourself online can be hard...

...but it's vital if you want to attract customers, especially if you are just starting out as a freelancer or consultant.

That's why we are going to talk about how you can promote yourself effectively even if you don't feel like an expert.

First, we will tackle Bridget's question where she talks about feeling like an "impostor"[1] in her business. Then, we cover three key tips which you can use to promote yourself better online.

A Personal Note

On a personal level, Bridget's question hit pretty close to home.

For years, I have been reluctant to start blogging/video blogging because I felt I didn't have much to add to the "conversation."

But, thanks to the subtle (and not so subtle) pushes some my close friends like Derek, MarieJonathan, Lewis, Sean, and Peter gave me, I've finally started to embrace that my many years of success as an affiliate marketer and small business owner have given me an extremely unique perspective on how to help people grow their business.

Sometimes, it's just a matter of owning your achievements instead of being modest and downplaying them for you to fully embrace the value that you add to the world.

And with that, I'll leave you with my biggest tip of all:

"If you don't toot your own horn AT LEAST sometimes, there won't be any music." (click to tweet)

Thanks for the honor of sending me your questions and allowing me to contribute to your lives.
